Dr. Dutta is the Dean of the Said Business School at the University of Oxford. He is also a Professor (on leave) and Former Founding Dean of the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University in New York. He was formerly the Deputy Dean and a Professor at INSEAD (France).

Dr. Dutta is a Non-Executive Member of the Board of Dassault Systèmes and was previously a member of the Global Board of Sodexo and a member of the Shareholder Council of ZS Associates. He is also on the Advisory Board of SWIFT Institute, Trustee at BankInter Foundation, and Founder and Co-Editor of the Global Innovation Index, published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the Network Readiness Index published by The Portulans Institute. Previously he Chaired the WEF’s Global Agenda Council on Innovation.

He is member of the International Advisory Boards of ESADE (Spain), HEC Montreal (Canada), University of Los Andes (Colombia), ESCP (France), Fundacao Dom Cabral (Brazil), Porto Business School (Portugal), Centrum Business School (Peru), a Fellow of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the WEF Davos Circle. Previously be was also Chair of AACSB, the most important accreditation body for business schools.

Dr. Dutta also co-founded and was Chairman of Fisheye Analytics (acquired by WPP). He is also co-founder and President of The Portulans Institute, a Washington DC based think tank.
