Mr. Desai is the Founder of an internationally acclaimed, research-based law firm, Nishith Desai Associates. He pioneered innovation in the Financial Services sector in India and advised the Government of Mauritius and the Government of India in launching their respective offshore financial centers; he has also played a seminal role in structuring several PE funds in addition to structuring several VC funds.

His firm has won several accolades most notably being recognized by the Financial Times and RSG Awards as Asia-Pacific’s Most Innovative Law Firm in 2017 and India’s Most Innovative Law Firm for the past 5 years consecutively.
