GFC Founder and Co-Managing Partner, Sandiip Bhammer on judging panel for the 2022 Cornell EMI Mark Mobius Pitch Competition
We’re excited to announce that GFC Founder and Co-Managing Partner, Sandiip Bhammer, who is also an Advisory Board Member of the Cornell Emerging Markets Institute (EMI), will be a member on the panel of judges for the 2022 Cornell EMI Mark Mobius Pitch Competition. The competition will be a part of the Cornell EMI Conference being held on November 4th at the Verizon Executive Education Center at Cornell Tech on Roosevelt Island (NYC). This is the second consecutive year that Sandiip will be a member on the panel of judges.
The Cornell EMI Mark Mobius Pitch Competition is for early-stage ventures operating, or being launched, in emerging economies. It is open to undergraduates, graduates, or recent alumni, regardless of the college or university. Finalists will have networking opportunities in New York City, mentorship by fellows and global investors, media exposure, and the opportunity to compete for a cash prize of $10,000.
Pitch submissions were accepted until April 2022 and finalists were announced on May 15, 2022. Each finalist was awarded USD 1,000 to use for expenses related to pitching at the global finals at the EMI Conference in November 2022.
The 5 finalists who were invited to pitch in the finals are:

· Life and Limb, submitted by Prachi Kharb of ITT-Kanpur
· Chamak, submitted by Debasish Chakraborty of Cornell University
· Soca, submitted by José Manuel Reyes of Tecnológico de Monterrey

Congratulations to Life and Limb of IIT-Kanpur, winners of the 2022 Cornell EMI Mark Mobius Pitch Competition.
Life and Limb is a spin-off from the Indian Institute of Technology [IIT] Kanpur, India, working with an aim to mainstream the use of prostheses and other assistive technologies. The core values of the company reinforce a horizontal as well as a transparent team structure which will foster growth and change the way startup definitions are framed.
