Newlab is an interdisciplinary space designed to support entrepreneurs working in emerging technologies in NYC and is a public private partnership within the City of New York, which supports over 200 start-ups in a variety of fields including robotics, A.I., urban technology and energy.

Mr. Belt was voted one of the top 50 most powerful people in tech in NYC in 2019 by City & State and one of the top 100 most influential people in Brooklyn by Brooklyn Magazine. He is also Founder of Macro Sea, a New York-based real estate development firm that repurposes unused space.

Mr. Belt has been a guest lecturer for institutions such as Columbia University, RPI, Penn Design, Community Design Collaborative, the Atlantic Conference, the Venice Biennale and MoMA.
